First ever KISS-fronted Rock & Brews Casino will open today in Oklahoma

KISS, the infamous 80s classic rock band, will open its first-ever casino in Braman, Oklahoma. The band already operates 20 restaurants and bars within its signature chain and will now feature casino gaming as well. Rock & Brews is slated to open today, with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The grand opening begins today at 1 pm.

The rock band was able to open its first casino thanks to an agreement with the Kaw Nation. The facility will be located in the former Southwinds Casino.

The new gaming property is home to over 400 slots and electronic table games. Players can enjoy these games and rock out to tunes played throughout mnl168 the venue. Classic rock songs and concert videos will be played as patrons visit the new property.

General Manager Bruce McClure stated that the new property will benefit the Kaw Nation and surrounding communities by bringing 200 employment positions. Guests can travel to the area and enjoy food and drink along with casino games.

The location of the Braman casino is ideal as it is near Wichita and Tulsa. The I-35 corridor makes it easy for guests to travel to the region, to dine, drink, or play games. The property also includes an indoor stage and an outdoor patio. These areas will be utilized to host local bands. On opening night, a unique AC/DC tribute band will be on hand to perform, known as Back In Black.

Long-Time Coming

The opening of the Braman casino is a long-time coming as it was set to open much earlier than 2022. There were three years of delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The partnership between KISS and the Kaw Nation began in early 2017 and it was expected the venue would open in 2019.

The opening day has finally come though, and everyone is excited to see what this new venue has to offer. KISS is also working on another casino in Mississippi. The Biloxi Rock & Brews Casino was proposed in 2020 and it would take over the former Margaritaville Casino venue.

The goal was to offer 1,000 slots plus table games and sports betting. The project has a price tag of $200 million and includes a hotel. COVID has caused delays for this venue and the Margaritaville property was put up for sale just a few months ago. It is unclear if this KISS fronted casino will ever get off the ground.
